Biotechnology technology is developing very fast. According to the Taiwan White Paper on Biotechnology in 2015, the turnover of Taiwan's biotech industry in 2014 was NT $ 288.6 billion, an increase of 4% over 2013. Comparing 2001 to 2013, the average annual growth of about 12% is more slow, but the market demand in 2014 reached 397.8 billion yuan, indicating that the market is still looking forward to the future development of biotechnology industry. In this study, 23 listed companies within the biotechnology industry were selected as study samples. From the Taiwan Stock Exchange public information observation station, collected from 2001 to 2014 only a total of more than 5700 relevant information. To explore the biotechnology companies with high revenues, this study uses fuzzy set qualitative comparison analysis (fsQCA) for analysis to obtain the configural theory. Finally, the four paths of research and analysis are put forward and summarized by expert interviews. Respectively, are sales-oriented companies, production companies, subsidiaries of the Group companies, pharmaceutical companies. Confirming that the four paths in the results were the genesis of high revenue for biotech companies. And the respondents believe that the most important factor in biotechnology is patents.
