本文先引述北傳《瑜伽師地論》中內觀禪修的記述，而後引述今日南 傳大師們的內觀禪修方法，並將之歸類為純觀行者與止行者的修法。最後將南北 傳的不同略為討論。

　　　　　Vipa'syanaa meditations described in Yogaacaarabhuumiof the dharma prevailing in the North are quoted in this paper first. The meditation techniques of the recent dharma masters in the South are then quoted and classified into methods for suddha vipa'syanaa yaanika and samathayaanika. The differences between the methods in the northern and southern dharmas are discussed briefly.
