This project employed the concept of FOCUS, a P-D-C-A study framework. A quality control section was established in a supply center and then designed according to applicability. A material exchange process is generally conducted by employing the concept of “passive and waiting for the customer supply on demand”. In this study, the above concept was modified into“active and automatic supply” This study is based on results obtained from a questionnaire investigation of 67 nursing staff concerning the simplification of material exchange. Responses regarding both satisfaction and time saving measures form the basis of the efficiency evaluation of this project. The results reveal: 1.Satisfaction: (1) Satisfaction relating to material exchange of the nursing staff increased from 54.4% to 75.4%. (2) Within this increase, satisfaction regarding passive supply equaled 45.6% and satisfaction regarding active supply equaled 87.7%. 2.The time consumed employing passive supply equaled 129 minutes and 23 seconds per day and the time consumed employing active supply equaled 77 minutes and 51 seconds per day. Therefore, the time saved by employing the new method equaled 51 minutes and 32 seconds.
