　　　　　隨著信息時代的來臨，圖書館在網絡環境下繼續存在與發展的必要性受到質疑。本論文於承認網絡環境對圖書館產生極大衝擊之同時，從多個角度抨擊了"圖書館消亡論"，闡明圖書館在信息時代延將一如既往地繼續生存下去並將長足發展。一方面，網絡環境為圖書館員的工作提供了諸多的便利，為其開展新的服務項目創造了前所未有的有利條件;另一方面，圖書館在網絡環境下將發揮的獨特的作用。

　　　　　As the information age is coming, the necessity of the library under the networked environment hasbeen questioned. At the same time acknowledging the impact of the network on the library, the paperattacks the theory of the library's disappearance from the different points of view. On one hand, thenetwork brings many conveniences to the library and makes it possible for the library to provide newservices to the users. On the other hand, the library will play its particular roles under the networkedenvironment.
