This study mainly explores how supply systems of upper-, middle, and lower-streams of the circulating industry break the antagonistic relationships, and cooperate on pursuing the value and efficiency of the supply chain. The method takes grocery industry (foods, daily necessities, and sundries) as objects, product and supply chain attributes as main parameters, to analyze combined-pattern traits of different commodities and supply chains, to induct better combination models, and to bring out general reference indices. Based on the indices, case analyses of chosen post enterprises are further done to dig out their success niches. Findings of this study indicate that in the management side, be it functional or innovative commodities, under the constraints of domestic economy scale, the pursuit of efficiency in the supply-chain management is on the top list. From here, other niches, such as market responses, are further pursued; In the operational strategy side, it is better to let the supply side direct the development of continuous replenishment system of upper and lower streams, and to let the retailer side direct category management to respond to the supply side. Overall, the supply and retailer sides should cooperate strategically explore products market potentials and niches together, and pursue the highest market value of products .
