The prevalence of internet-based technologies and the requests of educational reformation have come together and formed huge demands on a new educational regime--internet-based distance learning. Consequently, based on the objectives of lifelong learning and just-in-time training, the school-based vocational education should also catch the trend of using this modern technique as powerful tool, escape from the constraints caused by traditional instruction mediums, and move toward modernization and globalization, as well. Internet-based distance learning can also promote the attitude of students in autonomous learning, and, at the same time, help students to manipulate the resources of global village, thoroughly. The main purpose of this research is to study the contribution of internet-based distance learning on the educational innovations and the performance of enforcing it in advanced vocational education systems. According to the analysis of surveys, the degree of satisfaction of implementing distance learning would be revealed. Furthermore, the data analysis between students taking courses either on site or at the remote sites is studied to decide if there exists significant difference. This research shows that there is still some progress needed to be made about synchronous distance learning in aspects such as providing just-in-time information related to learners, and improving the accesses of two-way communication between instructors and learners. Also, the result of this research can be used as a reference of implementing asynchronous distance learning and achieving distance learning in co-operative education by the industrial, the academia, and the government in the future.
