Though Teakwondo has been listed as a formal competition item for the first time in Sydney 2000 Olympics, it is a well-know fact that, due to the lack of objective criteria, the referees' judgement has long been criticized. This study aims to view the difference between the score given by the referees and the actual score gained by the contestants in formal international contests. The 6th world University Taekwondo Championship held in the National Chung-shan University in Kaohsinung in 2000 is selected to access for the related data. The study shows that differences exist in the referees' scoring process. The average score gained by the contestant is 4.2, in which the average score gained by the contestant is 4.2, in which the average score of the first round and the second round is 1.5, and 1.4 for the third round. However, the average score given by the referee at each contest is 5.2, and there average scores given for the three rounds are 1.81, 1.77 and 1.81, the difference does exist. The average of difference between the score given by the referee and the actual score gained by the contestant in each contest is as high as 14, and the total of the score difference of the three referees of each contest is between 13 and 15.
