題名:創新活動的投入、產出與效率--科學園區內外高科技廠商的比較

由於區位因素與聚集效果,科學園區通常提供了園內廠商技術網路的正向外部性效果。為了撿視這些重要因素所塑造的創新環境對於廠商創新活動的影響,本文採用數種創新 “投入”, “產出”與 “效率”的指標,對科學園區內外的高科技廠商進行比較。由於科學園區內存在產業別以及規定廠商均必須投入研發的限制,本文以1996年至1998年股票上市或上櫃且有投入研發的電子廠商為樣本,藉以降低樣本選擇的偏誤。實證的結果顯示,無論是研發支出金額與研發密度的創新投入指標,專利數與新產品或新製程數的創新產出指標,以及研發專利彈性與研發產出彈性的創新效率指標,園區內高科技廠商的表現均優於園區外廠商,證實園區的區位因素與聚集效果,對於園區廠商的創新活動確實存在正向顯著的影響。
Science Park normally offers positive externality to its industrial firms owing to the effects of clustering and location. In order to examine the effect of innovative environment on the innovative activities, this paper adopts several indexes for innovative input, output and efficiency to compare the high-technology firms inside and outside of the science park. Empirical results show that the performance of the high-technology firms inside the Science Park is generally better than the firms outside in terms of the innovative indexes used in this paper.
