　　　　　本文主要目的係在建構臺灣消費者對食品需求行為之總合消費模型並進而利用此模型進行實證分析。為了提高在研究上的效率，及解決價格間估計時線性或重合的問題。本文係在總合消費者行為計量模型下，利用兩階段預算法(two-step budgeting)及恰當加總(exact aggregation)的概念，進行臺灣地區食品需求體系及彈性的實證分析。在第一階段中，將每一個消費單位的食品總支出分派於副食口與非副食品。在第一階段中，將每一個消費單位的食品總支出分派於副食品與非副食品。其中非副食品包括：主食類、乳酪類、水果類、及其他等。而在第二階段中，則將副食品之總支出分派於肉類、魚產品類、蔬菜類、蛋類、油脂類及調味類等。 本文亦利用總合消費行為模型估算臺灣地區副食品類各項商品在各種不同家戶人品與社會屬性(諸如：戶內人口數、戶長年齡、戶長教育程度、居住地區、戶長經濟特性等)下的本身價格彈性，此亦為本文的重要貢獻之一。
