在體育運動界裡，普遍存在著酒精使用的問題。然而，在有關酒精攝取的研究中，大部份的文獻傾向於，酒精並不會促進，甚至會降低運動表現。本篇論述性文章，藉由說明酒精在人體中的代謝途徑、運動前與運動後飲酒對於運動的影響，以提供教練、運動員與體育教師等等，進一步地了解酒精對於運動表現的影響。
