Does the communication education in Taiwan own its own ideal, autonomy and critical characteristics? How do the discourses of the Taiwanese communication Education look like? Based on these two main problematics, this article reviewed literatures of the Taiwanese communication education and found two vantage point of views: (1) the dialectic relationship between the pedagogic concepts of university and communication discipline in Taiwan; (2) the political and social impact to the communication education in Taiwan. This article further explored and collected data of all the communication educational institutions and found out that there are 70 of those at 24 universities. Based on these data, this article discussed the developmental trends and limits of Taiwanese communication education.
