震後火災是地震發生後最主要的二次災害，因此有需要對地震後可能的火災發展模式做預先的探討，本研究最主要是藉由近年來美、日兩國發生的經驗，與其所發展出來的震後火災潛勢分析方法，做探討與回顧，並希望能由對美、日兩國的分析方法中，尋找最符合我國震後火災潛勢分析方法，提供我國震後火災潛勢分析發展的方向。

Fires following earthquake is the main secondary damage after the earthquakes. For this reason, we have to discuss the fire development model after earthquakes in advance. The research will base on the experiences of fires following earthquake in U.S.A. and Japan, and the potential analysis methods they have developed. We want to search for the adequate fires following earthquake's potential analysis for Taiwan, and supply the developing direction.
