本文作者見於臺灣有許多種類與數量的農民組織，且這些組織在農業技術移轉上都扮演重要的角色，乃著述本論文。 本研究的具體目的共有四項，（一）闡明農民組織在農業技術移轉過程中所扮演角色的理論概念；（二）評估臺灣基層農會組織在農業技術移轉上的角色與功能；（三）研究其他農民組織如青果運銷合作社、農田水利會及各種特殊作物或動物產銷組織所扮演的各種不同的特殊性農業技術移轉角色；（四）探討村里中農民研究團體的技術移轉角色。在上列四大目的之下本研究對各類農民組織在農業技術移轉上所扮演的角色與克盡的功能都作了廣泛的探討。 　　本文在最後部份提出結論與建議，在建議部份著重在如何應用農民組織，使之更有效地扮演農業技術移轉的角色，以達成農業發展及農民生活改善的最終目的。 　　本研究所使用的方法係參酌過去的觀察，經對問題了解與認識，以及參閱相關文獻等。從中凝聚概念及運用思考與觀察心得，作為分析與闡述主題的依據。

The author of the present paper has seen the fact that there are many kinds and numbers of farmers’ organizations in Taiwan. Also these organizations have played important role in agricultural technology transfer. Therefore he attempts to do this study and write this paper. Four concrete objectives of this study are:(1) to present theoretical concepts of roles and functions of farmers’ organizations in agricultural technology transfer;(2) to evaluate roles and functions of farmers associations in agricultural technology transfer;(3) to investigate roles and functions of other farmers organizations, such as fruit cooperatives, irrigation associations, and various kinds of crop and animal production and marketing organizations, in agricultural technology transfer;(4) to examine role of farmers’ groups in village level in technology transfer. In order to achieve four objectives mentioned above, roles of various kinds of farmers’ organizations technology transfer have been extensively examined. In the final part of this paper the author has made a conclusion and proposed several suggestions. Suggestion emphasize on how to use farmers’ organizations for transferring agricultural technology and for achieving the final result of agricultural development and farmers’ life improvement effectively. The method of the present study is to employ observation, understanding and perception and to review related literature as the basic reference for analyzing and interpreting the main topic of this study.
