本文藉由分析衛生連線新聞蒐集技術(satellite news gathering，簡稱SNG)所產製的「現場直播」新聞，強調電視科技形式對於建構內容的重要性。本文藉由John Hartley的「形式關係」概念，探討這項技術如何成為新聞文本「寫實」意涵建構的參考指標。現場直播的「形式」，包含鏡頭的使用、畫面與聲軌的結合、主播與記者的言辭敘述、以及計時器的顯示，構成內容呈現時建構意義的重要部分；其所彰顯的「形式關係」，有時更凌駕在對現實內容的關注上。
This article emphasizes the Important role of technological form in the construction of television’s content meaning. The subject of examination is satellite news gathering (SNG), a production and transmission technology frequently used in news reports to manifest the urgency of news events. Using John Hartley’s concept of “formal relations,” the article analyzes the formal aspects of a “live” broadcast, including the use of shots, the combination of visuals and sounds, the situation of verbal interaction, and the virtual appearance of time, to discuss how the narrative form made possible by SNG-live broadcast-becomes a major indicator in constructing the actuality of the news event.
