　　　　　本研究探討在全球變遷腳步下，都市化潮流帶動休閒運動形式與內涵改變之景況，以及休閒運動參與型態之未來發展方向。筆者以文獻探討及社會觀察的角度，對於有關於休閒運動的都市化議題，加以蒐集與整理，企圖瞭解都市化影響休閒運動的成因，以及都市生活中，休閒運動參與行為的特質與趨勢。 研究結果發現，設施的科技化、運動形式的戶外化以及休閒運動資源的公營化，是現代都市在休閒運動方面常見的現象。
　　　　　The purpose of this study is to discuss the influence on recreational sports of urbanization and the development of it in the future. The researcher collected the documents of urbanization about recreational sports and conducted an analysis. Five characteristics of urbanization have been found, which were night living, flowing and changing quickly, culture assembled, living environment deteriorating, and social stratification. The diversification and prospering of recreational sport are attributed to the success of urbanization. In the new century, recreational sports in urban areas place will display three phenomena. 1. The facilities of recreational sports are improving by science and technology. 2. Most of the recreational sports are outdoorsy sports. 3. There are more public resources provided for the recreational sport.
