　　　　　高等教育機構的整併目前為政府推動的工作重點之一，十多年的光景間，高等教育機構由擴張到整併，可以說是政策上的大轉彎。本文就整併一詞的意義、高等教育整併的動力、影響高等教育整併成效的因素等議題進行文獻的分析，並根據國外高等教育整併的經驗，對我國高等教育整併政策提出反省與檢討，文末則提出問題與建議，希望能做為政府或高等教育機構推行整併的參考。
