Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) endemic and pandemic problems have caused worldwide concerns this year. The costs of several episodes of nosocomial and community infections in April were enormous. Knowledge about infection control, including triage and hospital and home quarantine has become crucial in controlling these emerging diseases like SARS. We provided this paper with the hope that health care providers and patients could be better protected by well-regulated hospital infection control programs. Those being quarantined are educated to take appropriate measures to lower the risks of nosocomial or community infections.
