本研究旨在探討大學體育課學生其不同的成就目標取向對競爭態度、運動表現與努力程度之影響，研究對象為大學二年級，上必修體育課排球選項的學生，共有四個班180名，男生70名，女生110名，年齡介於19-26歲，平約年齡為20.08。測驗工具包括「運動目標取向量表」、「競爭態度量表」、「努力程度」、「運動表現」，前三者是為紙筆測驗，運動表現則為排球高低手傳球技術測驗。使用二因子變異數分析，性別與目標取向在競爭態度、努力程度與運動表現上之交互作用皆未達顯著，再進行主要效果考驗，結果發現：一、男女生在競爭態度與運動表現皆達顯著差異。二、不同目標取向在努力程度上的達顯著差異，分別為：高工作／高自我者高於低工作／低自我及低工作／高自我；高工作／低自我高於低工作／低自我及低工作／高自我。三、不同目標取向在競爭態度上達顯著差異：高工作／高自我者分別高於低工作／低自我及低工作／高自我。
