This study sought to realize parents’ opinions related to outdoor elementary education. The purposes of the study were: 1. To explore parents’ views on the utilization of outdoor education. 2. Educational resources that parents assist teachers in outdoor education. The study results drew the following conclusions: 1. Parents hope these activities mostly have a theme, lasting for a full day’s expense each time, concerned with natural science, and taking place once in a semester. 2. The main difficulty which prevent the parents from participating outdoor education is the parents are too busy in job to participate. For parents, the main factor of students’ participation is safety. 3. If parents have time, they will assist the teacher in outdoor educational affairs on that day. The parents also consider that participating outdoor education have several functions, for example: “open children’s mind”、“create cooperation knowledge”、“increase the intercommunication between parents and children”、and “grow with children”.
