Purpose: The purpose of this study was to compare the effects on liver function in hepatitis B carriers after 8 weeks of running training. Method: Thirty subjects were randomly assigned to three groups: 1. High intensity running group (HG, age=2.25±3.25yr): 85%VO□, 20 minutes; 2. Low intensity running group (LG, age =22.1 ±2.77 yr); 50%VO□, 30 minutes; 3. Control group (CG, age=24.4±4.48 yr). Blood samples were drawn from the subjects previous to their beginning of the training (T□) and after 4-week of training (T□), 8-week of raining (T□), 4-week of detraining (T□). Result: All liver examined values were in normal range at T□, T□, T□ and T□ in three different training groups. Conclusion: Hepatitis B carriers seem to tolerate 8 weeks of 85% VO□ and 50% VO□ running training well.
