Recently, the transnational marriage, married to the brides from southeastern Asian or Mainland China has become a popular phenomenon in Taiwan. However, it seems to be looked down and to be thought as one of the root of the social problems. The main purpose of the article is to explore the structural reasons why the transnational marriage had happened and how people gave it a negative impression. Besides, this article will examine its minority situation and discuss the possibilities and limits of its future destiny.
