生命哲學的重點即是形上學，羅主教針對此一問題前後出版了六本相關著作，可見其重要性。本文主要以西洋士林哲學(尤其是多瑪斯)來整理這些重要的形上學觀念。其內容首先以史的方式分析這些生命哲學不版本問題的演變，何以其上學一再的補充說明？第二部分則將這些問題做一些整理，換言之，將其架構介紹出來。第三個部分則是生命哲學的形上學一些問題澄清和反省。

　　　　　The key to the philosophy of life is metaphysics, and its importance is proved by the fact that Archbishop Lo Kuang published totally seven works on the theme. In this paper, we intend to sort out these important metaphysical ideas through scholasticism (especially Thomas Aquinas's). First, we analyze the evolutions of the questions with different versions of these philosophies of life in terms of history and show why metaphysics has to renew the explanations over and over again. The second part is to sort out these questions, that is, to present their constructions. And the third part is the clarifications and reflections about the metaphysics of the philosophy life.
