The paper begins with a short description of two versions of the story of ‘Shui Hu.’ A detailed analysis of this great literary work in Chinese history follows. The main focus of the analysis is on the chapter of ‘Wu Song and the Tiger at Mt. Jing-Yang,’ which is closely examined by presenting the begining, the main body and the end of the story. A comparison with the story ‘Lee Kwei and Four Tigers at Mt. Yi’ is provided in the third part of the paper.
