The purpose of this study was to research kinetics differences between women's traditional and new style of softball. The study is divided into three major parts: (1) To discussing the differences between the COR K coefficient of restitution) as ball hits the bat in these two different softball. (2) To realizing the differences between the peaks of impact of the two types of softball on force platform. (3) To analysis the differences between the vibration response as the balls hit the bat. The study method was used international standard Mizuno softball bat fixed on the surface of force platform. The sweet spot is determined. The softball is then dropped from a 100 centimeters height to impact the sweet spot of bat. Using BioWare Biomechanics analysis software, data is processed through FFT to obtain frequency domain vibration data. Data of COR are captured with the high speed camera. Then, by using Redlake software, the speeds and rebound heights of the softball after impact are calculated. The conclusions of this study indicated: 1. New style of softball has a COR of 0.586, higher than traditional softball 0.558. 2. On the peak, new style softball shows higher computation than traditional softball, both on the force platform and the bat. 3. On vibration response, new style of softball causes greater vibration upon traditional softball when the softballs impacted the bat after.
