本研究旨在探討優秀中小學校長辦學經驗。研究對象乃是15位現職優秀中小學校長，其中，女校長四位、男校長有11位。研究方法主要採取晤談法蒐集資料，並進行資料的質性分析，研究工具則是優秀中小學校長辦學經驗訪談綱要。 根據研究目的，本研究的主要研究發現有：(1)優秀校長皆具有正面的辦學理念：(2)優秀校長都具有積極正向的人格特質與專業態度；(3)優秀校長辦學會掌握校務發展規劃及實施特色；(4)優秀校長辦學會注重行政管理程序；(5)優秀校長辦學會強調課程與教學領導；(6)優秀校長辦學會注意良好公共關係營造。
The purpose of this study was to understand the perceptions and behaviors about excellent principals' school management performance in elementary and high schools in Taiwan. Fifteen excellent school principals participating in this study were given the School Management Performance Interview. Data from interview, were analyzed with reference to six dimensions about school management performance. The six dimensions were as follows: school vision and philosophy, personality and attitude, school planning and development, administrative management, curriculum and instructional leadership, and school public relation. Research findings indicated that all behaviors of those principals' school management performance were positive, high, and of variety.
