組織是人的集合體。想要達成個人及組織整體的願景的與目標,最重要的關鍵因素即在於員工與組織、工與管理者或員工與員工間彼此的密切合作。而欲促進其間合作愉快的方法,其根本之道乃是在於組織內部是否存在著「信任關係」。組織內部有了信任基礎,而後方才有組織承諾的社會交換行為。 信任是植基於信任者與信任者之間誠懇的行為信念,並投射於矛此之互妲上,其範圍亦涵了對個人、社會、群我之間的利益衝突、倫理道德與社會經濟交換行為等主觀的認知。得之,不但可安定人心,反之,亦可顛覆既有情勢,一如水之載舟覆舟。因此,信任關係處理得當與否,亦為維繫組織群體和諧、產生休戚與共情感與達成組織效能的重要關鍵因素。
