The purpose of this study was to compare the instructional effect to short serve with different training ways (intensive training, relative distributed training, and absolute distributed training) and different size goal areas in badminton. The total of 120 women was divided to two parts. 60 women were divided to the first part and given three training ways of intensive training, relative distributed training, and absolute distributed training. The others were divided to the second part randomly and given four size goal areas of big, medium, small size goal area, and control group. The data was analyzed by one-way ANOVA and found: 1. The trial score had marked difference in different training ways (p<.01). 2. Thr trial score had marked difference in different size goal areas (p>.05). 3. After stopping training in a weed and a month, the retention test had non-marked difference in difference in different training ways and different size goal areas (p>.05).
