本研究採問卷調查，以立意抽樣方式取得397位五專五年級學生為研究樣本，分析學生之性別、性別傳統/非傳統科系與職業妥協的關係，其中職業妥協的三個變項分別是職業興趣、職業聲望與職業性別類型。研究發男女生及性別傳統/非傳統科系學生在妥協三變項上並無顯著差異。但就百分比而言，不論男女生或性別傳統/非傳統科系，皆是最不願意放棄職業聲望。

Survey data from 397 students of 5-year junior college were collected and were used to assess the differences between male and female, and the students between traditional gender-type major and non-traditional in terms of career compromise. The results show that there was no significant difference between male and female, nor the students between traditional and notational gender-typed major neither. However, prestige is the most important variable when the subjects consider to career compromise.
