Ancient Greeks created art and the civilization world. The development of ancient Greeks' architecture, painting, sculpture, philosophy, and literature are seen as the cornerstone to western civilization. The purpose of this study is to investigate the Greek costume characteristics through ancient Greek architecture and sculpture. In general, the costumes in the Greek period appeared strongly related to the column in the Greek temple, and the name of the costume was also influenced by the forms of temple in the capital. The Greek costumes expressed a simple, well proportioned, and harmonious look from their elements of style to their colors, materials, and accessories. All these characteristics in style represent the free spirit that Greeks advocated, which influenced designers' work in the 20th century.
