孔子說:「三人行必有我師焉,擇其善者而從之,其不善者而改之」,好的醫師典範可以為良醫播下種子,相對的,不好的醫師典範不利於良醫的培育。典範不必是大師,身為醫學教育者,你我都應以成為典範自許。
Confucius said: Even when walking in a party of no more than three, Ⅰ can always be certain of learning from those Ⅰ am with. There will be good qualities that Ⅰ can select for imitation and bad ones that will teach me what requires correction in myself. The role model of a good doctor can breed good doctors; to the contrary, bad qualities of a doctor will have a bad influence on the young doctors or medical students. A good role model does not have to be a Master. As a medical educator, you and I should be a good role model as well.
