The main purpose of this research lies in understanding university students' expectation about what abilities physical education teachers should possess. Another objective is to realize to what extent students value these abilities. With these research goals, students were asked to report the abilities they consider necessary for physical education teachers. Next the reported items were collected and integrated according to the meaning of their titles and phrases. Then using statistical methods the data list with different abilities was organized in the order of the number of times being stated. The results show 26 necessary abilities students expect physical education teachers to have. Followed by the questionnaire survey about the level of importance these abilities, the average score of each item indicates that only 20 of them are considered important. Consequently, the order of their importance is also known from this survey.
