The purpose of the study is to examine the Relationships among teachers’ generic characteristics, food and beverage skill tests and teaching attitudes for Teachers of Food and Beverage Management in Vocational High Schools. The research subjects were teachers in the department of food and beverage management from 75 vocational senior high schools. The mail survey method was conducted to collect data, generating 363 valid returned questionnaires. The questionnaire includes three parts: background information, food and beverage skill tests survey, and food and beverage teaching attitudinal inventory. Data was analyzed by using SPSS for Windows 12.0. All items were examined and analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-tests, one way ANOVA, and Pearson correlation. The results of the research show that different background variables have significant differences on food and beverage skill tests and teaching attitudes. In addition, food and beverage skill tests are significantly correlated to food and beverage teaching attitudes in some areas. These findings can be used to plan skill training programs for vocational senior high school teachers and to enhance the quality of food and beverage education.
