The research investigated, which felt the weight and the rolling of the woodball, the sound of the rap and the distribution of the spherical weight when they actually played woodball. Moreover, the research analyzes and tests the result of the investigation by the depiction of the statistics. The objectives of this research were to discuss the problems concerning the existing woodball and specifications, reflect players' perceptions and opinions of woodball and specifications, and propose suggestions on the woodball as reference to the Woodball Regulations Revision Committee for revision of regulation and development of the woodball game. This study surveyed 600 woodball players. The research methods included literature review and questionnaire survey. The data were analyzed with descriptive analysis, fitness analysis, and Chi-Square Test of Independence. The results showed that: First, Gender and social identity (students vs. working professionals) showed significant difference on participating time, perception of the woodball set and comments to set improvement. Second, The weight of the ball gate should be improved. The inspection methods for the ball be specified. Based on the results, the following suggestions were provided: 1) Improvement of the ball: (1)Change the wood material to hard resin to reduce the weight.(2) Classify the ball into four colors for easy identification by the players and referees. (3) Reduce the tolerance of the ball weight to improve the uniformity. (4) Specify the material for the woodball to be hard resin.
