In recent years, the ROC craft industries have already developed the distinctive specific cultural industries under the encouragement of the government cultural creatural creative industrial policy. One of those industries, Franz, a traditional enterprise of porcelain, attempted to change the image of the traditional industry and initiate its own brand. Franz also combined the style of the Art Nouveau and oriented image style to produce three-dimensional painting porcelain. Franz, whose first products receive the good remark from international markets for their unique design and exquisite quality, became a live example of successful transformation of ROC traditional cultural industrial. Art Nouveau movement was popular from the late of the 19th century to the early 20th century. This art movement penetrated into the society, and combined artistic style and life together completely, and formed the comprehensive and integrated influence. The product design of Franz has consulted the style of Art nouveau. We can see the same design factors, such as the smooth lines, the topic of nature, the ornament characteristic and transmit spiritual meaning by the symbolize image. These factors which merged the orient and west design aesthetics, have crossed over the regional hedge and subdued the culture difference easily, this is the reason why Franz becomes popular all over the world. This article try to analyses and assess the influence of Art Nouveau on Franz by historical and comparative approach in order to provide the lessons for traditional industry transformation in combing western design style.
