摘要 「創業行為與過程」研究的理論基礎建構主要是植基於PSED 計畫所進行的創業 動態追蹤研究。本文將探討創業動態追蹤研究之理論架構，詳細說明如何建置創業過 程研究資料庫，以及問卷內容設計與調查方式，並提出對於我國未來推動創業研究之 意涵。PSED 計畫經過近十年的努力與發展，已產生豐富的成果，對於創業行為與過 程研究產生了重大影響。利用該計畫所建立的資料庫，衍生出來的研究議題包括：1. 探討環境因子對創業之影響；2.探討個人特質與動機因子對創業之影響；3.創業家人 格特質與環境背景對於創業活動之影響；4.有關創業機會辨識與發掘的議題；5.各項 與執行面有關的議題；6.新事業發展與成長階段。本文結論建議台灣也應推動創業動 態追蹤研究計畫，相關學者需要組成研究社群，積極參與國際創業研究聯盟組織，並 進行跨國比較研究。
Abstract This paper provides an introduction to the phenomena and existing knowledge about the firm creation process followed by a biref history of the Panel Study Entrepreneurial Dynamic (PSED) program. PSED was initiated to provide systematic, reliable and generalizable data on important features of the entrepreneurial or start-up process. This includes information on the proportion and characteristics of the adult population involved in efforts to start firms, the activities that compose the start-up process, and the proportion and characteristics of the start-up efforts that become infant firms. Previous studies of the impact of new business creation have shown that this kind of entrepreneurial activity has a significant impact on economic growth, innovation and job creation. Six research domains on the topic of firm creation process by using PSED data set were listed. In the final part of paper, we also propose the future prospects of PSED research in Taiwan, including participation of Entrepreneurial Research Consortium (ERC) and joint research with international community.
