Newly Industrialized Countries (NICs) in East Asia in particular Japan had expanded their scales of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in China and Southeast Asia since 1985. It created the most valuable industrial value chain and system in East Asia ; and had shown its competitiveness in the global market. It further evidences that the volume of intra-regional trade has grown significantly in East Asia . Based on above, regional countries have taken advantages of the differentiated structures of regional members and have formatted clusters of industries. It leads to the effects on industrial movement and to show the value of industrial chains among regional countries. The hypothesis of this paper argues that if the industrial movements and industrial value chain exist within East Asia, then we may find that Taiwan and China have created both cooperative and competitive interactions among industries. To prove this hypothesis, this paper will explore the trading structure of component parts of industries among East Asian countries in order to explain the phenomena of industrial movement within the region. The content of this paper touches on the issues of the transition of industrial trade, analyzing the trading structure of industries, and the economic interactions between Taiwan and China in East Asia . The conclusion of this paper argues that regional countries will integrate their industrial resources deeply; and, will head for the path of value-added industries in order to enhance their global competitiveness.
