國家利益是一國在經濟、軍事以及文化上的目標和企圖。國家利益的競逐觀點在國際關係中至為重要，且為現實主義學派論述之基礎。事實上，國家利益是多元面向的，主要乃置於國家的生存與安全。然而，後冷戰時期的美國國家利益則呈現出更多複雜的風貌，尤其在911 恐怖攻擊之後，美國必然會調整其國家利益，以因應新的威脅和挑戰。本文主要目的即在於分析後冷戰時期美國國家利益的劃分，並瞭解其對美國外交政策及軍事戰略的影響。
The national interest is a country's goals and ambitions whether economic, military, or cultural. The notion is an important one in international relations where pursuit of the national interest is the foundation of the realist school. Actually, the national interest of a state is multi faceted, primary is the state's survival and security. However, the American national interest presents more styles complicatedly during the post cold-war period, especially after the “911” attack of terrorism, inevitably US must adjust the national interest to respond the new threat and the challenge. This article main goals are analyzing the US national interest division and understanding it how to affect US foreign policy and military strategy in the post cold-war era.
