This research was based on the reviewed literature and collected interview data. By analyzing the thoughts of Chang, Shang-Hsien, researcher concluded the connotation and the philosophy of Judo for Judo practitioner and future studies as references. First of all, the essence of Judo was to improve not only on the ability of self-discipline but also on the natural of education. Then, the attitudes and essential abilities an instructor required, including the mastery of the techniques or skills, the understanding of teaching and learning theoies, the positive learning attitudes, the self-reflection abilities and the concept of team work, were uncovered. Furthermore, it was emphasized that practitioners should possess good psychological skills themselves to promote their techniques. Finally, practitioners in different Dan ranks should all work on perfecting their basic judo techniques for reaching the status of automaticity when applying them in combats. It was believed that combining the experiences from senior instructors with the analysis of sport science was going to create a more ideal way of training. In other words, intellectualize the senior instructors' valuable experiences might be able to facilitate the development of combative sport in Taiwan. It is hoped that this study may shed some light on the relevant future studies of combative sprots.
