We study the paper of Dye that published in the International Journal of Information and Management Sciences, 2004. His paper is an important extension to incorporate the inventory models with deteriorated items, shortages and lost sales. He proved that those models have an optimal solution for arbitrary positive demand. However, there are some questionable results contained in his paper. We will try to provide some patch works to enhance the volubility of Dye's paper.
