專業責任保險其意義、特性及效能均有別於其他責任保險，其承保、理賠及風險管理過程中能對專業人員產生一定的激勵和約束作用，因此加強專業責任保險的基本認識，以為開發專業責任保險潛在市場的基礎，便有其必要性，而台灣實施專業責任保險之難題及其保單設計之考慮因素，本文亦加以探討。

The meaning, characteristic and efficacy of professional liability insurance are different from those of other types of liability insurances. The underwriting of insurance, settlement and risk management can produce certain inspiration and restraint to the professional people. Therefore, in order to expand the potential insurance market, it is necessary to reinforce the basic understanding of professional liability insurance to the professional people. This study also discusses the issues of professional liability insurance and policy design in Taiwan.
