The purpose of this study is to develop and evaluate a web-based course training program based on teachers?learning needs by using action research. Teachers?learning needs and knowledge in web-based teaching were assessed by using questionnaires. The training program was developed according to the faculty掇 needs assessment. The two main components of the program were in-class lectures and hands-on practices. Initially, 32 educators participated in the training program. Twenty of them completed the program. Of those 20,90% were satisfied with the web-based teaching program. The educators agreed on the consolidation of their ability of developing web-based teaching material through hands-on practice and case discussion. This training sessions helped educators to bridge the transition between traditional classroom and web-based teaching. To increase quality of web-based teaching, the results of this study can serve as a reference for future developing web-based teaching training programs or workshops.
