Ancient Four Rhyme is a dictionary of ancient writings which contains extensive resources and references. Due to its multiple sources, it is often found that some Chinese characters indexed in the dictionary which should be the same word but are with various written forms. This article tries to analyze the phenomenon with a point of view of "the evolution of word-form construction." The analysis of the evolution of representative Chinese written forms in the article includes the concept of the passage of time, using the standard form from inscriptions on bones or tortoise shells and bronze inscriptions as references to compare the words, and then assign the words with appropriate positions. Based on such idea, this article will clarify the word construction of ancient writings in Ancient Four Rhyme, and through the examination, we may be able to understand why a certain character would evolve to some other form in Ancient Four Rhyme.
