加拿大的老年人已在該國人口當中佔了相當高的比例，而老人跌倒此項意外事故對加拿大社會所造成之衝擊亦漸漸的受到重視。在減少老人跌倒傷害的介入作為中，老人們的照護者扮演了重要的角色，同時隨著科技進步，可做為輔助也減少照護人力負擔的跌倒自動偵測器也被運用於老人照顧的場合。本文由文獻回顧之方式，探討加拿大老人照護提供者的老人防跌作為，以及簡介跌倒自動偵測器這項新的醫療科技。文獻同時指出，運動方案的介入有著顯著的成效。若能完善的自事前防範、事後減少傷害兩方面雙管齊下，必能有效減少老人跌倒所造成之負面影響。

Canada's elderly people have accounted for the quite high proportion in the middle of this country population, and the fallen down of elderly people to have the impact on the Canadian society also gradually to receive takes seriously. To reduce the injury that caused by falls, the carer has been an important role, meanwhile along with advance in technology, the automated fall detector that assist the cares to decrease the manpower burden has been used in the cases to take care elderly people. In this paper, we review the concept of the act to prevent falls down by the provider of care for Canadian elderly people, and make a brief introduction to of the new medical technology-automated fall detector.
