The purpose of the study is to investigate the relationship between health-related physical fitness of the new immigrant's children who attended elementary school in Taichung County and their self-concept. Based on the purpose, it had randomly chosen 196 students from 7 Elementary Schools in Taichung County, participated in this study. All subjects were divided into two groups according to the nationality of their parents: the new immigrant's children group and the general immigrant's children group. The study tools were "the health-related physical fitness test" and "the revision of children physical self-concept inventory". The gathered data was processed statistically with tools such as "descriptive statistics", "t-test", "one-way ANOVA", and "Pearson's product-moment test". The result of the study was concluded as follows: 1. In terms of the performance result of health-related physical fitness, the new immigrant's children got the highest scores on and "BMI" and "sit-ups", and the worst ones on "800-yd run-walk". 2. In terms of the performance result of self-concept, the new immigrant's children got the highest scores on "fatness" and "strength", and the worst ones on "endurance". 3. In terms of the performance result of health-related physical fitness, there were significant differences on their "standing broad jump" and "sit-and-reach" of new immigrant's children with different sex. In terms of the performance result of self-concept, there were significant differences on "strength" and "endurance" in self-concept of new immigrant's children with different sex. 4. There was no significant difference among new immigrant's children with different SES on their health-related physical fitness and self-concept. 5. There was a correlation between health-related physical fitness and self-concept of new immigrant's children; that was, the new immigrant's children who had better health-related physical fitness expressed better self-concept. Finally, the research based upon these conclusions and had put forward concrete suggestions which can be used for references for education agencies and further studies.
