The main purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between teachers' job stress and leisure participation of elementary school teachers in greater Taipei Area. A total of 455 questionnaires were sent and 329 valid response samples were selected through purposive sampling. The results showed that: (1) Elementary school teachers in greater Taipei Area, their job stress in general are good, thus they feel the pressure from administrative interference; (2) Different gender, age, marital status, education background and health condition have significant difference in job stress; (3) The leisure participation of elementary school teachers in greater Taipei Area have found frequently taking pant in recreational, entertaining and knowledge-based leisure activities; (4) Different gender, age, education backgrounds and self-perceived physical health status have found significant difference in leisure participation; (5) Job stress and entertainment have found significant positive correlations; Job stress, social service, recreational and leisure participation have negative correlations.
