Circuit exercise is an exercise of circuit training carried out by hydraulic resistance equipments, which is characterized by holistic, safe, fun, easy, and good for group exercise. Circuit exercise is also suitable for the persons with different levels of physical fitness. This paper explores the movement characteristics of circuit exercise on health-related physical fitness, including muscular strength, muscular endurance, cardiovascular endurance, flexibility, and body composition, in order to identify effects of circuit exercise on health-related physical fitness. Secondly, this paper proposes practical curriculum design of circuit exercise for physical education teachers and exercise leaders by analyzing documents, field visiting, and interviews. It is expected that the circuit exercise based on circuit training becomes exercisers' choice for improving their health-related physical fitness, and to make them to establish a healthy lifestyle by regular exercise.
