本研究旨在瞭解並探討大專學生休閒活動參與情形，研究工具爲自編之「大專學生休閒生活調查問卷」，針對14所大專學生進行抽樣調查，共計發放問卷1400份，回收1278份，有效問卷1046份。回收之資料以次數分配、百分比和卡方考驗進行資料處理，研究之結果爲：一、學生實際參與休閒活動項目之排序前十項依序爲：1.看電視；2.朋友餐敘；3.音樂欣賞；4.逛夜市；5.散步；6.逛街購物；7.吃零食；8.上網打電玩或電視遊樂器；9.電話聊天；10.國內旅遊；二、不同性別之大專學生在休閒活動項目參與上有顯著差異，男生偏愛於動態性與戶外性之休閒項目；而女生則偏向靜態、閒逸性之活動，特別是在個人嗜好類型休閒活動方面，女生有多項活動之參與較男生高。
The Purpose of this study was to explore the recreation activities of college students. Questionnaires titled "Recreation activities of College Students" were employed and distributed to 14 colleges. There were total of 1,400 copies distributed, among them 1278 were returned and 1046 were effective. The data was analyzed by using frequency distribution, percentage and chi-square test. And obtained the following results: 1. the top ten recreation activities of students are (1) watching television, (2) dining with friends, (3) music appreciation, (4) shopping in night markets, (5) taking a walk, (6) shopping, (7) eating, (8) surfing the net and playing video games, (9) chatting by phone, (10) traveling. 2. There are remarkable differences between genders in the recreation activities. Generally, male prefers physical and outdoor activities; on the other hand, female prefers sedentary activities. Especially in personal hobbies, participation rates of female are higher than male in several activities.
