In recent years some public libraries in Taiwan moved forward and noted the long neglected information needs of young adults and young adult services. They attempted to provide spaces dedicated to young adult services. Because of short of domestic studies on young adult services and relevant topics, planning for a space for the young adults was difficult. The author collected and studied cases of YA space, research results from the western literature, combined with experience of site visits, discussed and made suggestions on pre-planning operations and important items to consider during the planning stage.
