Exhibitions are the main product of museums; therefore, exhibition updates can be compared to adjustments in the combinations of product lines for businesses. This thesis looks at a literature survey to summarize the context of strategy and strategy management. In the section following literature survey, the development of exhibitions at the National Science and Technology Museum is introduced. In this section, we survey and consolidate the Museum's experiences in exhibition update from three different angles- the environment, competitiveness and case study. This thesis aims to verify strategy management theories with practical experience in exhibition update, with the goal of clarifying the construction of strategy management in science and technology museums, which is expected to offer museum curators useful information for strategy establishment relating to exhibition updates. We find that the key solution to a successful museum exhibition update is "consolidation." Museum exhibition update is a continuous work and requires good ability in consolidation. This thesis will also conduct an analysis of the "strategy 5Ps," "steps of strategy management," and "the procedures for decision-making and action," in order to offer readers insight into the connotations and procedures of strategy management, as well as useful information for actual practices of museum exhibition updates.
