“Wang-xi-zhi's Caoshu Hsiao-Ching” was written by Wang-xi-zhi in Dong-Jin Dynasty. It has been failed to be handed down from past generations in China but still exists in Japan. This book was a textbook for Emperor Jin Cheng Di to learn “Hsiao-Ching” , and it had been stored in Tang Dynasty and Song Dynasty's imperial palace. Emperor Tang Xuan Zong wrote the foreword for this book. It spread through out the country in Song Dynasty. In the beginning of Ming Dynasty, it spread to Korea and when Toyotomi-hideyosi sent soldiers to Korea, Date-masamune stole it to Japan and it became Sendai Hansyu's secret storage. This study investigated the copies of stamps which were found by Japanese and stored in Tokyo National Library. The value of this book is to offer a reference for the study of “Hsiao-Ching” in Liu Chao Sui Tang as well as Wang-xi-zhi's calligraphy. It also is valuable for the study of the history of calligraphy in China and Japan, as well as the history of east Asia culture interchange.
